This is Connor. He's in Jack's class. He's standing next to the habitat that he made for the diorama project. I asked him if he really did all that himself. He says he did. His parents corroborated.
He's an overachiever.

This is a squat. He started out encased in a thick, white shell that dissolved in water with great fizzy, bubbly fanfare. Then the reveal . . . a ninja. Hi Ya!

I took this photo yesterday but didn't post it until today. Jack's been sick since Tuesday - strep throat - and I laid down with him last night at 8:00 to help him get to sleep. Don't know which one of us fell first but I woke up at 4:00 this morning and realized that I didn't post my photo, didn't turn off lights, left the dogs out all night, forgot to wash my face and brush my teeth. Naturally, I rolled over and went back to sleep.

I started reading the first Harry Potter book to the boys last night. Tonight, I read Chapters 2 and 3. There's a little cliffhanger at the end of Chapter 3 and the boys begged me to go on. I was too tired though. I'm going to love doing this.

This is Dean's mouse, Dark Eye. She was last seen Saturday night under the armoire. I don't think she is in the house anymore. Her disappearance hasn't caused any heartache, though.

Dean has taken up drawing. He has a black binder that he calls his art book. He draws comic book heroes, spongebob, flowers, vehicles, houses and people. Tonight I caught him as he drew a picture of his brother.
